WhaWallet is operated by Whawallet Investment Group, Nairobi, Kenya ("we", "us", "our"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through the WhaWallet platform at whawallet.com.

5. Contribution Data Visible in WhatsApp Groups

Important: When you contribute via WhaWallet, your name (as registered with M-Pesa) and contribution amount are posted as an update in the WhatsApp group. This is a core feature of the Service — the transparency ledger. By contributing, you consent to this disclosure within the group.

If you do not want your name and amount visible to group members, do not use WhaWallet to contribute — instead, arrange payment directly with the group admin.

6. Data Retention

You may request earlier deletion of data not subject to a legal retention obligation by contacting us (see Section 9).

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:

WhaWallet is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The latest version will always be available at this URL with the revised date. Material changes will be notified to registered group admins via WhatsApp or email.
